Cover notes we write for collector editions
Each Spider-Verse collector edition ships with a one-page note. The note has three jobs: name the opening splash, describe the colour hold that governs the volume, and explain why a variant sits first even if another cover is more famous.
Daniel sequences; Maya writes. If they disagree, the note says so in one sentence. Disagreement is more useful than a smooth paragraph that pretends every cover was inevitable.
Panel rhythm means how a page breathes. A rain sequence needs wider gutters than a fight. If we bind a fight immediately after a quiet rooftop without a beat, the edition feels cheap. The note will mention that beat when we had to insert a quieter page from the same run.
Readers who skip the note still get the files. Readers who keep it tend to argue with it, which is how the next volume improves.
